Fuse Club under the motorway: Crossroads, a new festival in Brussels.

If you have been into electronic music and clubbing for a while, then you must have heard about Fuse club in Brussels. For techno lovers in particular, Fuse is a legendary place. One weekend after the other, for the last 23 years, Fuse has been an institution in terms of underground music and one of the most relevant techno temple in Europe.

On Sunday the 9th of July Fuse, in partnership with Resident Advisor, will offer a new concept festival, all around techno and its nuances, just outside the city of Brussels (but still easily reachable by public transport).

Crossroads, or xrsd, has been essentially built around a good quality music offer, as you can expect by Fuse. Some exciting names are on the programme, from Robert Hood/Floorplan to DVS1, from Mike Servito to Sigha (James Shaw) Live, from Tama Sumo to Fred P, but also the setting is meant to be unprecedented: the event will run just below a Motorway, adding an industrial touch to the entire experience.

Over the course of the years, Fuse organised different side events. Fuse on the Beach was one of the most successful one, bringing a genuine clubbing experience on the Belgian seacoast with a small event during the summer; or Fade In, together with Time Warp back in 2013, for a techno blast in an enormous warehouse north of Brussels.

Given the reputation of the Club, the names involved and the previous personal experience I had in their ability to create purely underground events with the perfect atmosphere, I am sure that Crossroads will be a success as well. Of course a Funktion-One soundsystem will be in place, a skate ramp will be available and free bike parking for everyone.

Crossroads this year come as an unexpected new entry in the summer festival offer, and this edition looks like a sort of beta test for the next future. If you like intimate events, with like minded people, you should probably get a ticket right now.

Clubber Confession will join Crossroads and will tell you the story, but you can find more info and tickets HERE.
