Amsterdam Dance Event is closer than you think

We are all probably thrilled about the incoming summer, festivals and events will pile up along beautiful beaches, and we will once again find ourselves dancing under the sun, savoring the sea breeze or just enjoying good music with the warm weather of the next few weeks.

That is why, thinking about next October now might be a bit too much for some.

However, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is closer than you think. The first line up wave, around 8% of the total, has just being released and it would be enough already for you to book your flights.

The festival will be spread around the city as usual and will run from Wednesday the 18th until Sunday the 22nd, as probably the most important event for electronic music and club culture of the year. That week Amsterdam will be the centre of the world, at least our world.

Awakenings and Loveland, two of the big names traditionally associated with ADE, have already presented their nights. Awakenings will use once again the magnificent Gashouder for five nights, plus a new daily event. Len Faki, Adam Beyer, Paul Kalkbrenner, Joris Voorn and Joseph Capriati have built up five stunning line ups for the love of techno. Loveland, on the other hand, partnered with Afterlife, Circoloco and Gem Records for three nights at Mediahaven, on the Amsterdam docks.

We can expect the return of the showcase festival of Amsterdam Dance Event focused on live electronic music at Melkweg, Paradiso and Sugarfactory, for which ADE has already Hercules & Love Affair, Fatima Yamaha and Marian Hill as first confirmed guests.

Not to mention the inspiring ideas from Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE MusicTalks), with open debates and seminars, the Playground with everything from showcases, gear, master classes, exhibitions all across the city.

Irvin Welsh has been recently announced to be first Creative Keynote interviewee and the opening concert on Wednesday will see Jameszoo together with the Metropole Orkest at the Melkweg.

This is just a slight portion of the full calendar that is being finalized just now, so enjoy your summer, but think ahead!
